Apple Picking, Maskers Orchards, Warwick New York.

Last Saturday Randy and I went apple picking at Maskers Orchards upstate NY. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get there but the drive up was well worth it. The scenic view was breath taking and you could see the leafs change color. As we entered the orchard, they handed us a couple of plastic bags which were to put the apples in. You are not allowed to bring your own bags. On the bag was a map of the whole orchard and what parts offered the different types of apples. Several of them had already gone out of season. However we managed to pick Red & Delicious, Macintosh, Cortlands and Jona Golds. We picked two bags of apples (one for a friend), took a couple of pictures, had a pick nick  amongst the apple trees and headed out two hours later. It was a very relaxing day and a great opportunity to just get out of the city madness. Definitely worth the drive.
