Starting June of 2008, American Airlines in insert a luggage checking fee of 15 dollars, for all domestic flight if you are flying discounted fair according to the New York Times. That means that it would be a $30 dollar fee for a round trip. This policy will start from June 15. In addition to this there will also be decreasing flights and cutting back on personnel. These are just additional charges which you can expect to see on top of the raised air fairs this year. All of this is influenced by the high prices of oil of 133.00 dollars a barrel. So for all of you who are planning your vacations this year over the summer think twice before you decide the discounted air fair charges. It kind of takes the purpose of discounted air fairs.
